Greek Islands Sailing Cruises

The best way to discover the beauty of Greece is an escapade in a sailing boat!!!

Even if this was not part of your initial vacation plans, we offer you the opportunity to live this experience, through easy, quick and affordable solutions.

So, we designed for you one-day and two-day sailing cruises, bringing you in contact with the art of sailing and allowing you to access secluded beaches, away from cars and noise, and to get to know our paradise islands.

Our boat

All cruises take place on 38 – 42 feet long boats (11.50 – 13.00 metres). All boats have three cabins, each equipped with one double or two single beds, toilet and shower. The deck of the boat ideally combines exciting sailing to delightful sunbathing.

Our boats also have a living-room with sitting area and a table. The kitchen is equipped with sink, refrigerator with freezer, and oven. Bathroom towels, as well as storage room for bath accessories are also available.

A few words on this great experience The adventure begins at the Nautical Club of Vouliagmeni, where you will meet the skipper, and be introduced, in a team bonding experience, as sailing is, first and foremost, a collective experience.

Before sailing, and after you get settled, the skipper will show you around the boat and give you a short, 30-minute training on the main operations of the boat and the rules for  safety on-board.

The crew, then, assumes roles (depending on each participant’s will and on the weather), and the sail begins. During the cruise you will have the opportunity to raise the sails, set course on the map and take the wheel of the boat (under the instructions of the skipper), who will answer any questions you may have about sailing.

As we sail along its coastline, you will have the opportunity to learn about the ancient and modern history of the island (on the temple of Aphaia Athena, Saint Nektarios, the pistachios, and many more).

A pleasant surprise awaits, one hour later, as this is when we reach Moni island, a small heaven on earth, with green waters and lush vegetation. Once we drop anchor offshore, we are ready for a first dive you will never forget. After that, comes the time for sunbathing, a walk in the forest alongside peacocks and deers, and a delightful drink or coffee, at the one and only bar of the island. And this is only a few of the things in store for you for the 2 hours to follow.

And, as the appetite grows, time to set sail for Aigina and more precisely,to the picturesque small port of Perdika, where we will be 20 minutes later. Moni is an islet in the Saronic Gulf. It is situated in the north of the Saronic Gulf, southwest of Aigina, at a distance of less than 500m from cape Perdika, and 1,800m from the port of Perdika. It is a sandy beach with pine trees, and many spots for swimming. The island is owned by the Holy Monastery of Chrysoleontisa of Aigina to which it owes its name (Moni is the Greek word for monastery).

What is special about this island is that it is not inhabited, but is the home of wild animals. Indicatively, The following species dwell on the island: deers, wild goats, kri-kri goats (Cretan feral goats), peacocks and squirrels, many of which are friendly- domesticated, and approach visitors. The western part of the island is full of pine trees, and the beach, which can be accessed from Perdika by small boat, is an organised beach

with sunbeds and a cafeteria. The eastern part of the island, that is to say, the part which is visible from Aigina, is rocky. The island is interesting for hikers / climbers. Perdika - Aigina

Sailing Tour Greek Islands Aigina

Perdika is an old, traditional settlement built around its port. In the olden days, the only occupation of its inhabitants was fishing. The main characteristic of the settlement is its small houses with the yards that communicate between them. One side of Perdika is one big paved balcony hanging over the sea. On the pedestrian road, there are taverns, well-known for the fresh fish and seafood they offer, ouzo snack-bars, bars and cafés. Further on the pedestrian road, there are benches among palm trees, where you can sit, enjoy the sunset and gaze at the sun as it dives into the sea.

Very close to the fishermen’s village, there is a small, mountainous village, Sfentouri, nowadays a vacation spot with interesting architectural and folklore elements, as well as the picturesque beaches of Klima and Sarpa. Sarpa is a very beautiful, sandy beach, with trees, pebbles in the sea and a cafeteria. Klima is a sandy beach, perfect for swimming. It is in the area of Kleidi, at a distance of 2km from Perdika.

Poros

Sailing Tour Greek Islands Poros

Poros is an island of the Saronic Gulf. Its ancient name was Kalaureia. It has 3,993 inhabitants, according to the census of 2011, carried out in the eponymous municipality. It is at a short distance from the coast of Peloponnese, opposite the village of Galatas. It is known, among others, for the beautiful lemon-tree grove situated on the above coast, which is a popular destination for short escapades from Athens.

In reality, these are two islands, Sfairia and Kalaureia, separated by a very small channel, right past the Navy Yard (Tutorial School). The historic clock, donated by merchant and MP, Ioannis Papadopoulos, stands high on the hill of Sfairia, at the centre of Poros, and is a landmark of the island. On the southeastern part of Kalaureia, lies the historic Monastery of Kalaureia or Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi of Poros, built in 1713.

Main Sites

The city of Poros, with its neoclassical buildings, is built amphitheatrically, on the slopes of a hill (Traditional Settlements of Greece). The archaeological museum, at Koryzis square, hosts findings from the temple of Poseidon, in ancient Troezen and the other, nearby, archaeological sites. On the northern part of the island, lie the remains of the temple of Poseidon, where the centre of the Amphictyony (league of neighbours) of Kalaureia used to be. Researchers estimate that it was built around 520 BC. The dimensions of this Doric temple are 27.4 x 14.4m. It is supported by 6 columns widthwise, and 12 columns lengthwise.
